Show me the one, show me the way, help me to know just how to share the love You gave.

Look around you! There is probably someone who could use some love! All too often, we find ourselves surrounded by people who are going through some difficult times. Perhaps you are! Whether it's unemployment, family problems, health problems, depression, loneliness, or whatever, all of us would like some relief from what we are going through. We need to see that there is a light at the end of the tunnel!

And there is! The Light of Lights, Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, is willing and more than able to lift us from our darkness, into His pure and safe haven of light. He promises His love and presence to heal and deliver, to strengthen and help, all those who call on Him.

Like the beam from the mighty lighthouse, that directs ships safely back to harbor, His Light is there to show us the way to Him, for Jesus is truly the Way, the Truth and the Life.

It is my prayer that this site encourages you to reflect His light to those around you who need to know Him. Let Him use you to share His love. And as you embark on this remarkable journey, please share your experiences so that all of us can grow together in our quest to reach all the world, lest anyone should perish.

May God richly bless you!

"For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16

Hide and Seek With The Sun

As I look out the window today, all I see is the fog over the dreary landscape. It really seems like a dull, sad day because I can't see the sun. I know it's up there! But its rays aren't penetrating through the atmosphere, even though it is in a way because there is daylight. For some people, their emotions are affected by this type of weather and they get depressed. We are in midwinter now and alot of people love to go South to soak up some of that wonderful sunshine! Wish I could do that now...I sure could use some!

I remember when my family boarded an airplane in Buffalo to fly to Florida. It was a day like this...cloudy, foggy, damp, and dreary. As I looked out the window from my seat, everything looked dull and sad. But as soon as the plane ascended up through those clouds, the sun shone in all its glory, filling the cabin with bright light! The sun had been there all along, but had been hiding behind the clouds. We had to go up and seek it to find it!

There is an analogy in the Bible for us that expands on the subject of seeking God.

If you seek the Lord your God, you will find Him
if you look for Him with all your heart
and with all your soul.
                                       - Deuteronomy 4:29

And Psalm 8:17 tells us that God loves those who love Him and He is found by those who seek Him.

How can we find Him when we seek Him? Is He visible in a physical way? Can we hear His voice? There are times that I have called out to Him, and wished that He would show Himself in a physical way that I could see Him and hear an audible voice. But that hasn't happened.

The Lord is near to all who call on Him,
to all who call on Him in truth.
                                - Psalm 145:18

Even though we can't see Him, we can know He is near through His Spirit making Himself known to us. We have to worship Him in spirit and in truth for God is spirit.

Spend time with the Lord through prayer, Bible reading and meditating on His Word. As you embark on this spiritual journey, you will find yourself rising through the clouds that this world creates, to the presence of the Lord. Jesus is the Light of the world, and by drawing near to Him, you will experience the warmth of His everlasting love.

For God so loved the world,
that He gave His one and only Son,
that whoever believes in Him
shall not perish but have eternal life.
            - John 3:16
